Top 2 podcasts / authors for personal growth
Follow Adam Grant and Brene Brown for science-backed content on leading a better life
Everyone has a podcast these days but some are better than others. These are my top two podcasters for personal growth and development. Both are academic professors who have excellent media skills—which is not a common combination. This means they are able to discuss academic research about behavioural psychology in terms that everyone can understand and relate to.
Adam Grant
Adam Grant is a top organizational psychologist and a prolific writer, TEDTalker, and podcaster. He—or more likely someone on his team—also posts regular positive and inspiring posts on social media. He has authored books about persistence, courage, resilience, and the importance of being willing to rethink our assumptions. His podcasts include WorkLife and Rethinking.
Brene Brown
Brene Brown is a world-renowned researcher, whose motto is to be “awkward, brave, and kind”. She has authored books on shame, vulnerability, authenticity, leadership, courage, and anti-perfectionism. She has interviewed some of the world’s top leaders, thinkers and celebrities on her podcasts Dare to Lead, and Unlocking Us.
Both are engaging speakers and attract interesting people to their podcasts. Who else should I be listening to?
